Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most well-known role was Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and won Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 and 2014. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and discovered her love for acting during her time at the Preparatory School. At the end of the 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. She attended theatre classes in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a year studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for many years prior to trying out for film and TV role. Anna had her first big role as Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in the year 1992. Following her appearance as a Guest Star in several TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. The show was recast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was another of her roles. Gunn was also on the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn also played a part in the play Numbered Day. It is an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio plays. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the narrative in Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and eventually its demise similar to the arc that was Walter White's final years of his life.
